What is Thermal Imaging Breast Screening?

Thermal Imaging or Thermography uses an infrared camera to produce a scan or “thermogram”. The scan looks for abnormal blood vessel patterns which due to increased metabolic activity give off more heat than normal cells. Heat changes can occur 6 – 10 years before a tumour can be detected by a mammogram. Early intervention with thermography can provide a reduction in the risk of developing breast tumours 

Thermography is very safe and painless. It is less invasive. It is radiation free and can be repeated as often as you choose.
